Everyteam has a big playbook, and when Abraham was saying the Saints “ran a completely different offense” you don’t need to look at that “big playbook” as the reason…take a look at Atlantas past defensive coordinator, he never has had fans in Atlanta and the change is notable. That “big playbook” (that everyone else has too) didn’t help against Atlanta, or SF, or the other five loses the Saints have. Unless you reinvent yourself (in any industry) you will, at some point, get figured out.

Brees on the decline? Just stupid. Brees selfish? Just stupid. Defenses aren’t catching up because the Saints have that big a s s play book for a reason. Proof? During the summer, Abraham was on a local show in Atl and was asked about getting over the hump vs the Saints. Abraham said they were ready last year, but when they played, the Saints were running a totally different offense. That ish may look the same to us on tv, but it’s obviously not. The Daints are way ahead of the curve on offense but need to run more. And quietly, the d has been on point the past two weeks. Now Brees trying to force things? Yes.

Love how the NFL Network replayed his silly pregame hop around claiming that the Saints owned the division and everyone knew it. This right before they showed highlights of his five interceptions. Brees and Saints fans are living in the past.

Brees is rapidly becoming Tebow – simply famous for being famous. I’m sure he will continue to cash his giant paycheck, throw the ball 50+ times/game and run his mouth at every opportunity.

Unitas and Marino didn’t break those records playing 16-game seasons in domes throwing the ball on every play. There is no comparison.

Brees hasn’t lost any skills, the defenses are just catching up. It’s always throw, throw, throw with the Saints, after a while the patterns show on the films and the defenses figure out the system…especially when you don’t effectively mix up the plays. Bad game against SF then Atlanta? Nah, the defenses have you guys figured out, look for more of the same, 5-7 should point that out to you pretty darn clear.

Brees was forcing the ball into tight spots all night trying to keep the TD streak alive. He’s playing for himself right now. They should have run the ball a lot more than they did if they were trying to win the game. But then Brees wouldn’t get another record.

Brees is clearly on the decline. He has lost a step, which isn’t surprising considering his age. Even being slightly less mobile at his height is going to spell disaster. We saw it on Thursday night and with the two pick sixes last Sunday. His forcing the Saints into such a crazy long term contract is only going to make things worse for the team over the next few years.
