We thought it could get ugly in at Lambeau Field. And it is. For the team we didn’t think it would get ugly.
Trailing by only three points, Adrian Peterson converted a third-and-one play from his own 18 into a first down -- and a touchdown.
With Packers players seemingly slowing down as Peterson stumbled toward the sideline, Peterson shed the would-be tackler and exploded down the sideline. He then managed to hold off a Packers defensive back who closed in on Peterson near the end of the run.
Peterson wouldn’t be denied. In the end, it was an 82-yard run, and the Vikings now lead, 14-10.
