On an emotional day, the Chiefs are playing football as they haven’t often this year.

They just took a 7-0 lead over the Panthers on a 2-yard touchdown run by Peyton Hillis, marking the first opening-drive touchdown of the season for the Chiefs

Brady Quinn led them sharply on a six-play, 74-yard drive, completing both has passes for 55 yards.

As hard as it was for them to play today, they’re now into the easiest three hours of the week, and they’re playing that way.
