The Packers are celebrating their quarterback’s 29th birthday in style, so far.
Seven days after being blown out by the Giants, the team is blowing out the candles on Rodgers cake by blasting into the end zone on the opening drive.
In eight plays, the Packers covered 75 yards -- including an uncharacteristic (for them) 24 yards on the ground. But Rodgers was perfect, completing four of four throws for 46 yards and a 32-yard touchdown pass to James Jones.
The Packers lead, 7-0. We’ve got a feeling it will get ugly. Which will be pretty for the Pack.
