The news quickly came and went in the minutes preceding Sunday’s games. A Browns employee had been found dead at the team’s facility on Saturday, after the team had left for its game in Oakland. The employee had hanged himself in an equipment shed.
The team has since released a statement acknowledging the incident and identifying the employee as Eric Eucker, a 30-year-old member of the groundskeeping crew.
“This is a terrible tragedy and our heartfelt condolences go out to Eric’s family,” the Browns said in a news release. “Eric was a good friend and colleague, and an outstanding employee. He will be missed by everyone in the Cleveland Browns organization.”
Our thoughts are with the Browns, and with Eric’s family and friends.

No Browns jokes from this Steelers fan………just a sad story.
My heart goes out to his family and friends.
Suicide is very heavy burden for a family to deal with. It never goes away……I know.
What a shame! Prayers to the family and friends of the deceased
Not to make light of what happened, but is there ever such a thing as a non-terrible tragedy?
this is an unfortunate situation. people go through depression in life. most survived, some didn’t make it. Sad!!! be thankful if you didn’t or haven’t gone through one. God bless!
Terrible, sad news. It’s time we ban ropes.
Horrible, I feel for his family.
It’s sad that this story was overshadowed by the tragedy in Kansas City. My prayers goes out to Eric and his family.
Is Bob Costas going to go on SNF and say how we should ban rope now? Bc this never would’ve happened without rope.

A delusional conservative NRA member. At least he couldn’t take anyone else with him or feel empowered by that rope.
So, is Bob Costas going to suggest that we ban ropes now?
