@mr.wright- i didnt say KP was a bum, hes actually pretty good but he is never healthy all i was saying is i think both rookies could be better.. ive seen what KP could do for the last 3 years.. and as @jwreck says..hes not a stand out DB..

@PNUT.. i did get a good look at both which is why i want to see more of both.. more so steve brown than will hill

im a big fan of KP and good for our D i just would like to see more of stevie brown however that works…

Huge that Phillips will be in the lineup. This will allow the Giants to continue using the 3 safety set, something that couldn’t use in the last meeting.

Danny Amedola just did it last week to add to that.

Phillips is definitely huge. Sash is ok, but Phillips playing definitely makes a difference. Hopefully he’s good to go from here on out.

Phillips is our best DB, until Amukamara fully reaches his potential (which is accelerating while most don’t notice). I will not argue this.

First off, if you’d been watching the Giants, you should have gotten a pretty good look at Hill and Brown when Phillips was out for the 6 or 7 week stretch.

Second, Phillips has been a top level safety when healthy, healthy being the key term. When he got back in the line up, they held the Packers offense to a handful of points.

Finally, Brown is most likely going to get resigned. Have no worries there. Hill, I wouldn’t be so confident.

People posting about Philips and his importance to the Giants secondary don’t understand or watch the Giants. Philips has been their most consistent safety. Teams don’t look to his side of the field. Two years ago he had 5 picks in four games before getting hurt. He played solid last year. Teams attacked Grant last year and avoided hum.

Being from DC, I obviously have no interest in a dynamic New York secondary. That said, Phillips has always struck me as one of the less impressive members of the Giant defense: not a potential liability like Webster or Blackburn; just not a standout stud. I don’t know how Stevie Brown has been playing in general, but he was very impressive in the last game against Washington.

Point is, while I’m not overly familiar with the young faces of the Giants’ secondary, from a division rival perspective, manningbowl88 doesn’t deserve five thumbs down for speculating that Phillips could be replaced.

really happy kenny P is playing. brown has played well but its way to short of a body of work to say he is better then Kenny. Kenny/rolle playing makes the whole d better.

JPP was a given, I don’t know why they reported he could be out (sarcasm, I know they had to being he was on the report), everyone knew he was going to play.

KP is playing, that’s great news, Giants looked great in that 3 safety D. Now they can play a safety as the QB spy.
