Julian is really fast and is the best punt returner on the team. Also, he is a good receiver who runs well after the catch. We need him, even at less than full capacity, since we don’t have Gronk. If he can play and we get Jones and Mankins back, I’ll feel very good about our chances against a strong Houston team on Monday.

Sorry to hear about Edelman. I did see though that Welker caught a TD pass extending Brady’s streak as well as tying Jerry Rice for most games with over 10 catches if I am not mistaken about the stat.

Earlier in the year, everyone said we no longer needed Welker given Gronk and Hernandez were now in the fold long term. I blogged that this was ridiculous and that Welker deserved a new 2-3 year deal as well.

Well, the birds are back to roost. Welker is playing exceptionally well and getting free as always to catch pigskins from Brady. I hope all who were ready to cut Welker revise their thinking and I hope the Pats re-sign Welker for at least two years !!!!

It looked as though it happened when Hernandez and Edleman ran into each other in the end zone on 2nd and goal. Not sure but 81 and JE got tangled up with their feet.

Not having Gronkowski was huge yesterday. So many 2nd and 3rd down scenarios where Brady was just dumping the ball off or throwing into the flat because 87 was not available. They’re not the same offense without him and will miss him mightily against Houston and S.F.

Sounds like it could be a high ankle sprain,lets hope not. I don’t remember seeing Edelman get hurt.Good thing Branch’s locker was left in tact. With Cunningham’s suspension there is a roster move to make(send JD back to practice squad)

Bad news if he can play vs Houston next Monday. Edelman is a very versatile receiver and special teams guy. We sorely missed Gronk in Miami, having trouble scoring in the red zone.
