I'm holding my breath on a healthy Woodson, Matthews and Sam Shields. I have a nasty feeling that Shields is going to be out for the season.

That being said, we need to lock up that number two seed so we can give this entire team and extra week to rest for the playoffs. If we can just get Wood and Clay back for the playoffs, we're going to be dangerous.

I am surprised that Chuck W. didn't have his clavicle surgically repaired, especially with this being his 2nd brake.
-Marcus Colston was playing 3 weeks after clavicle surgery
-Ryan Mathews was playing 5 weeks after his repair

I had it done myself and it has been amazing the recovery time with the new surgery techniques for this injury.

Anyway, one has to question the quality of the Packers medical staff/training staff or maybe not....but I do.
There are so many injuries, re-injuries, and players on IR that it makes you wonder. The past 5 years have been plagued with injury, and this year is no different.

snaponrules says:

The day he returns the number of non-called defensive holding penalties will double. Nothing against the Packers but it is amazing to see how much this guys gets away with right in front of the officials.
--------------------------------------------------------

As a Packer fan, I couldn't agree more. He basically gets away with murder every pass play. Illigal contact, holding, or pass interference. The officials let him get away with it all the time. My problem with it is if they're going to let them play, than let them play. Don't allow him to get away with it for three quarters and then turn around and call it on a huge third down in the fourth quarter. Just a complete lack of consistency.

So does everybody else.

I am glad he will be back if only to govern the young guys and call out coverages that he is familiar with.

This will be Woodson's last year in GB, "Da youth" has done a respectable job in his absence, and has not really missed a beat with him being out. Thanks for the great years Charles.
