Welker is quick, but Edelman is fast and a good return man and tackler. There’s no one to replace his skill set. First Welker, then Gronk, and now Edelman. Unfortunate stretch. Luckily the Patriots have weapons to spare and this one isn’t quite as damaging to the offense as either of the past two. Hopefully Welker (I assume that’s who will be returning punts now) can pick up where Edelman left off in special teams, he has been dynamic there.
