I’m not saying Pete has a bust on his hands, but the OL plays way better with him and fellow 2nd year high draft pick John Moffit on the bench. Last year Marshawn Lynch really took off after both those guys went down.

You understand last year both Carpenter and Moffit were rookies and there was a lockout right? The whole o-line had to come together and learn zone blocking basically as the season went. They started terrible but by the end of the year and then they went down things were going well. Carpenter tore his ACL at the end and for him to come back as early as he did at 320 lbs or however much that monster weighs is remarkable. PC just had a press conference where he said he wants him healthy next year, that after the concussion and re-injuring his knee it only made sense. Get your running back 1000 yards by 10 games A gap/B gap - I think they are blocking just fine. I say the Sweezy experiment hasn't look good and we need to replace the RT Giacomini because he's too stiff for speed rushers. In this division there are plenty of those.

Ok, maybe I am saying he's a bust. Season ending non-football injury on top of an actual football-injured blown out knee? Yikes.

I feel for James, he worked hard to get back after tearing up his knee in practice. I like him far better than Moffit at LG even though some Hawk fans feel its opposite. Hopes its not a serious illness for the big guy and he's back to finish off the Season.
