First off, we’re not the only one’s saying it.

He probably won’t win MVP as its VERY hard to win that type of award from that side of the ball… but aside from maybe what Calvin Johnson and AD are doing, I ask yout to show me a more dominant player right now. (You can’t win MVP on non playoff teams, don’t care how good you are)

Von Miller is one of the best pass rushers I have seen, but this year Watt is a big play machine like very few have ever been.

He dominates in passing downs and dominates in running downs. Practice with your racquets all you want Belichek, you can’t simulate a player like Watt.

According to ProFootball Focus he leads the league in QB disruptions. (sack/tipped pass/qb hits)

He doesn’t just put up stats. He changes games. He had two sacks in the 4th qtr of the Detroit game, both on 3rd down, both pushed the Lions out of FG range… 6 pts off the board in a game that went to OT.

Watt may have 0 INTs but 4 of his 15 tipped passes were intercepted, 2 of which were returned for TDs. His FF on CJ2K last week would have gone for a TD but the zebras stole a career highlight from Antonio Smith (karma I guess)

Miller is great. Believe , me, I’m an Aggie so I’m loving what he’s doing, but Watt anchors the best team in the league with eye popping numbers. Has to be Watt.

That said… if Alden breaks Strahans record, he will win it.

You obviously don’t watch too many Bronco games. Von Miller has 15 sacks as a strong side 4-3 LB. 5 forced fumbles, 1 INT (pick-6), and leads the NFL in tackles for loss. Every-down player.

obejectivenflfan must be a Broncos fan because you failed to mention that Watt leads Von in sacks (15.5-15), TFL (27-24), pass def (15-2), and QB hits (31-19).

Watt is the overall more disruptive player and should be leading DPY. Even if Von finishes with a couple more sacks than Watt, he won’t catch him overall.

Bronco fan here. This guy is right. You have to also factor in that they lost Brian Cushing also. Watt is a monster this year and likely many to come.

You’re right. Not only do I not watch any Bronco games, I hardly watch any NFL games. Except for the countless Bronco games that are shown in Houston for some reason, like that snoozer against the Chiefs. Miller’s having an amazing season and should win in any other season. However Watt’s reinventing the 3-4 DE position. Last person with the same amount of sacks and batted balls in the same season…Reggie White. Watt still has 4 games to go.

Your right on Smith but Miller has 5 ff to Watts 2 and 1 int for a td to Watts 0 their tackles and tackles for loss are within 2 and Watt has 13 more pass def. I would say you couldn’t argue with either one getting DPOY at this point.
