So Cam blew off a couple players that wanted pics and so they decided to blast him during the game? And this is supposed to be a serious offense? Please, let’s have the names of the players who got their poor little feelings hurt so we can get them the girly-man therapy they so badly need.

I bet you’re probably one of those people who friends, families, and co-workers hate because you are a “man” yourself and only criticize everyone.

I think it’s more professional than non-professional to be anonymous sometimes. This ain’t gossip girl type of information. Sometimes these type of info needs to be “leaked” in order for certain people to realize the truth.

May Cam will man up if he knows even his peers have no respect for him.

I don’t blame DG for going on info he likely learned from people he trusts within the organization as well as players he trusts. I’d do the same. That said, it doesn’t mean the other info is wrong. It’s possible that DG is being told good things because that’s what those people are hoping they will see from Newton when positive comments come out. Positive reinforcement so to speak.
There’s just too much negative buzz coming from people including someone I myself trust who have observed him away from the media (as others above have also commented)that are in direct contrast with what he says. I tend to think the real person is the person someone is when the cameras and mikes are off.

At the very least, there’s fire where this smoke is. There haven’t been any/many of these comments from multiple people on QBs like RGIII, Luck, etc who are also very young but haven’t shown such immaturity. When someone is young they can be called immature when they are really just not a very nice person. Time will tell if Newton is simply immature or not a nice person.

Uh, pretty much the entire NFL media and every sports writer in the nation last year lauded every pass, run, sneeze, and fart this guy made. He was everything Vick was supposed to be. He changed forever the way the game would be played and expectations for the QB position.

Please don’t act like every picked on him all the time.

Cam Newton is one of the biggest diva’s in the sports world. Yes, he does have amazing athletic skills. Yes, he does carry a lot of baggage with what is expected of him, but he doesn’t know how to act. He was babied throughout college, babied throughout the draft and now he is babied by his coaching staff. My guess is that nothing will change until the new staff rolls in. When the current coaches are fired and replaced, Cam Newton is going to find out that much more will be expected from him and that instead of him being worshiped, he’ll be on the hot seat. His job security will be much different. The new staff just might decide that the current QB situation is not what they want.

I’m glad RGIII came along too!

There was a huge difference between the two during their game. Almost after every positive play, Cam made long gestures and first down poses. They were run of the mill NFL plays!

Besides, normal NFL quarterbacks look like Joe Montana against our D! He didn’t impress me much.

He is big but he’s got a little Vince Young like look to him in how he acts..

Haha I somewhat agree with you, except for Kobe and Jordan are the top two in history in their sports, not to mention as you said their fist full of championship rings. Newton hasn’t proved himself at all. He put up a lot of yards last year but also put up a bunch of turnovers. I can’t believe anyone compared RG3 and Newton. RG3 already has more respect around the league then Newton will ever have. For example, tmafter the Giants game on Monday, several Giants lined up to congratulate him and shake his hand, when have you seen Newton get that treatment? I live in NC, and happened to be able to meet Cam, and I agree, he was totally into himself and only signed like 3 autographs and then did his superman crap and walked away, it was ridiculous.

Really? We’re supposed to feel bad for Newton because he’s being pressed into a leadership role he’s not ready to take on? Certainly no more pressure has been on Newton than RGIII, a Heisman winner who’s trying to turn around a one-time championship team in the nation’s capital. And he’s working for one of the more volatile coaches in the league. But the responsibility doesn’t seem to have turned him into a spoiled diva.

Better for Newton if people stop disconnecting his actions from their consequences.

All you have to do is watch last Sunday’s game. There Cam is once again a losing team losing late in fourth Qt against a bad team. Cam gets a first down and low and behold the SUPERMAN action starts. He wants respect, than show you are a leader. This is just a fan talking so you know the insiders,PLAYERS have a lot more info on the guy than we have. If he did not desrve the put down he would not get it. Oh well here comes Mr Moon again!
