Danny Amendola limited in practice

Rams receiver Danny Amendola is limited in practice as he continues to recover from a foot injury suffered on November 18.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Amendola has been doing individual work on the sideline in practice.

When healthy, Amendola has had some outstanding games this season, including a 15-catch, 160-yard day in a win over the Redskins and an 11-catch, 102-yard day in a tie against the 49ers. Unfortunately, Amendola has also missed all of four games, and been sidelined for parts of others, with injuries.

With Amendola hurt, Rams rookie receiver Chris Givens has stepped up with his two best games in the last two weeks: He had five catches for 115 yards two weeks ago and 11 catches for 92 yards last week.

I hope Amendola doesn’t become another Danario Alexander, i.e. loads of talent and production when healthy but then can’t stay on the field. Donnie Avery is another one. He wasn’t ever an up and coming bright & shining star but he couldn’t stay healthy, got cut, and is now doing pretty well with the Colts. Rams seem to be cursed with some capable wide outs who can’t seem to stay healthy.
