Mike Nugent’s injury costs Jeff Faine his job

Faine

With the Bengals officially adding kicker Josh Brown due to Mike Nugent’s calf injury, Cincinnati had to open up a roster spot.

They did so by bidding farewell to Jeff Faine.

Faine, who was once one of the highest-paid centers in the league, started seven game this year for the Bengals. But the rise of Trevor Robinson coupled with the return from injury of Kyle Cook made Faine unnecessary.

If Robinson or Cook get injured, look for Faine to return. Unless someone else gets to him first.
