Why can’t the Jets outright fire their GM’s? I fear the new GM will eventually suffer the reassignment fate that Bradway had and Tanne will happen. If any of the Giants Front Office prospects go green and, it’s a trap due to ownership

Jets need to clean house. They remind me of my team the 49ers 3 years ago. They were talented but we hand mcghlan at GM and mike dumbass singltary at HC. the main difference is niners were very young and jets are older. However jets have talent but they need to clean house and yes either bring in a proven GM or hire a guy who was a scout. Top teams have a former scout as GM falcons have dimitrioff niners have Baalke ect. That’s not by mistake.

The Jets are indeed the Red Sox of the NFL; an organization that measures its success not in what they do, but how other teams and the media perceive them.

Let’s keep it real here; Rex won with Mangini’s players and the talent accumulated through the draft in previous years with Herm as well, matured which led to those AFC Title Game appearances. Name anyone besides Scott or Leonard that Rex had a role in bringing in on defense that actually succeeded; better yet, name a drafted complimentary piece on offense that helped Sanchez during the current regime. Shonne Green is capable…that’s about it.

Therein lies the issue with this organization…while they were fat and happy on almost making it to the Big Game, their main rivals continue to go to the big game or win it. They need to be gutted and overhauled AGAIN as they continue to tie themselves to people who get satisfied too easily.

I hope that Tanny does get to stay to just do the numbers side of contracts and they bring in a talent evaluator to make the personnel decisions. I don’t know why Bradway is still here let alone in charge of scouting. What makes the Jets think that he deserves another chance to evaluate talent if he failed already at it as a GM. He’s been with Jets since 01 and has been useless. Mangini was behind the Jets good drafts not Tanny or Bradway. Clinkscales is finally gone now Terry has to follow. This new so called “player personnel director” has to have complete control over Rex and his input to player evaluations cuz history shows the draft picks during the Rex Ryan era has been below average.

I’ve never seen an outfit that wastes Draft Picks like the Jets. They threw Draft Choices at Denver for Tebow, at Pittsburgh for Santonio, they even traded UP to get Steven Hill.

They wanted to be Ground & Pound, but they have uncovered Zero talent at RB in years. Along the Offensive Line, it’s Mangold and Ferguson and not much else.

Drafting a Darelle Revis in Round One is easy.

Finding talent on Day 3 is hard, especially when you have squandered most of your late round picks.

Jets Fan here, and it not news that the jets cant scout. I put most of the blame on the Tanny and the rest on the scouts. When you go 3 preseason games without scoring and still refuse to address the talent level your just being dumb and believing your own hype. The jets have been saying there ground and pound so i’d like to see them take a stud RB in the draft because Sanchez will be back next year (think the 8mill he’s due), for better or worse.

they should have a hired a GM last year…..
Mr.T is a SALARY CAP guy…….
Rex has been making the personnel decisions…..

Parcells liked to shop for the groceries and cook…
and he never got that chance except for the Jets,
but a lot of coaches with out his resume get that chance without haven’t proven anything.

Woody get yourself a GM, bring Rex back and let Mr. T work the cap.

I actually consider Rex to be a good coach with poor PR skills but more importantly, the Jets are not going forward if Rex refuses to cut his ties with Mark Sanchez. When he took over, they were loaded enough on defense where a game managing QB would have been enough. Well now that defense has regressed (+ gotten older) and Sanchez has shown zero improvement in his play.
