Chargers’ Michael Harris says he’s “definitely” playing

It looks like the Chargers might have some degree of offensive line left Sunday.

Left tackle Michael Harris was listed as questionable for their game at the Steelers with an ankle injury, but told Tom Krasovic of U-T San Diego he “definitely” expects to play.

The Chargers have already listed right tackle Jeromey Clary out and left guard Tyronne Green as doubtful.

“In our experience,” Chargers (for now) coach Norv Turner said, “ ‘questionable’ doesn’t play a lot, but we’re giving [Harris] a chance if he can get better over the next 48 hours.”

The Chargers signed three new offensive linemen this week, and are going to have a hard time protecting Philip Rivers against anyone. Harris himself began the year as a backup, and the fact they’re looking to the undrafted rookie for stability tells you why they’re in the spot they’re in.
