Titans running back Chris Johnson had a string of six straight games with 80 or more rushing yards snapped in last Sunday’s loss to the Texans and he’s not happy about the workload he got on offense in the second half.

Johnson had three carries after halftime, spending most of his time pass blocking as the Titans tried to come back from being down 21-3 at the break. This didn’t sit very well with Johnson, who was asked Thursday if he let offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains know about his displeasure.

“I don’t think it was a thing where he had to come to me and say anything. I was very upset, or whatever, not being able to be used as much as I wanted to be,” Johnson said, via Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean. “But it’s a situation, he’s a new guy and he’d never called a game before in his career. Hopefully it will change.”

Loggains said after the game that he regretted not getting Johnson more work, but it’s hard to keep feeding a running back when you’re down three scores at the start of the third quarter. It might also be hard for the Titans to establish the ground game in the coming weeks as they will be fielding a patchwork offensive line the rest of the way because of injuries.

If that turns out to be the case, this might not be the last time we hear complaints from Johnson about his workload.
