Lol 14+ different no-name receivers in 2010, Jackson out until the 13th game, Gates toe issues and you’re saying his receivers made him? It was the other way around. Take away his o-line with some of those same receivers that are left and you have nothing.

You can’t throw to Jackson if you don’t have the time.

The year VJ sat out, Rivers had a career year. All the more impressive, considering Gates wasn’t a factor, either. Rivers has always done well with multiple targets, even scrubs off the street.

So, no, his numbers have not been padded by receivers, and certainly not any more than the other top-tier QB’s.

IT”S ALL ON THE O-LINE. Or, lack thereof. It’s hard for a QB to throw good passes, when he’s sitting on his arse…

He nearly always drew double coverage which left others open plus he could go up and get the ball in impossible situations.

His problem is he lacks mobility, so needs a decent OL to help him regain his confidence. He has been hit a lot the last 2 years and it shows when he rushes a lot of passes.
