I think spitting is probably THE ultimate insult and deserves great punishment, but $100k+? Nah.

Not even I would wish a fine that large on someone if they ever dared spitting on me.

The beatdown I lay on them would be punishment enough.

Whomever it is, he/she deserves a 250 grand fine for not curbing his GODellness. The game is changing right before our eyes, and some of the nonsense needs to stop pronto like or before you know it, the teams will be fielding players like Liberace out there. The halftime show will feature players getting mani-pedi’s out there.

The fine isn’t about him spitting….it’s about a so-called team leader (check the payroll) refusing orders.

So Dockett got fined 6 figures for “allegedly” spitting on Rhodes, but the NFL didn’t fine Le’Ron McClain when he spit on Channing Crowder in 2010? The hypocrisy is strong with this one.

It’s far from ridiculous, it’s about time these overpaid punks get fined appropriate amounts for their appalling behavior and gross incompetency. The team is just proving that the league doesn’t charge enough for fines of other types of violations. And I don’t think they fined him for spitting at a teammate, I think they fined him for disobeying team orders and directives. Titus Young got a much more harsh punishment from the Lions for intentionally playing wrong according to instructions and they turned him into an outcast.

This guy only had to pay a six-figure fine and still gets to play ball. He’s lucky they value him so much as to not totally embarrass him and scare him right out of town.

I’m a Cards fan, and I like this. Dockett is a great player, but sptting on a team mate? No way. Glad they hit him hard on it.
