Tebow questionable, will travel to Jacksonville

All the folks who bought tickets in the sections formerly covered by tarps can breathe easily.

They will at least get a glimpse of their hometown hero this week, even if he’s not playing.

Jets coach Rex Ryan just announced that backup quarterback Tim Tebow (ribs) was questionable for Sunday’s game at the Jaguars, and that he would travel with the team.

As you might imagine, Tebow is being referred to as a “game-time decision,” and they plan to work him out Sunday morning to see if he’s even well enough to be their No. 2. If he can’t go, Greg McElroy would be next in line if the Jets need a relief pitcher for Mark Sanchez again.

  1. I can’t help but think this is the drama building for another Tim Tebow miracle.

He’s a game time decsion, but grits it out to play through the pain. Sanchez gets yanked in the second quarter after throwing his 75th interception. In trots Tebow and crushes the Jags into the mud. Somehow the Jacksonville fans prefer this to seeing their own team win.

  2. Just more marketing drama from the Jets so they can get free publicity and sell more tickets. What a pathetic owner Woody Johnson is.

  3. In the off season the Jets should trade Sanchez to the Ram, because he knoes Marty offense. McElroy should play the rest of the remaining games.

  4. Pulling one tarp one section because of Tebow? Yeah, who was the mega star that did it for the Bears? O wright…Major Wright…

Didn’t we see the same thing but, the #’s don’t matter….They just end up paying the bills….

  5. Tebow is being wasted on the sidelines…he is too valuable a QB to spend his time on the bench. From the looks of the future, he will have had his best days in college. Most unfortunately, there are a slew of QB’s in the market. He should get the hell out of NY, and find a team that will PLAY him unrestricted. Sure, he’s young, but he’s also getting older while sitting on his butt……..another wasted year for him.
Big deal on letting him do a few plays, that would be enough to frustrate a guy to no end. Good for him that he is a good Christian, and holds no animosity.
Sad to see such talent wasted on the bench.
Will be praying for you Tim that you get a team that will appreciate you. Gook luck Dude…
(Will be waiting for you to do your stuff………somewhere)
