Redskins linebacker London Fletcher’s getting used to being listed as questionable with an ankle injury, and he’s already used to pushing through, as he prepares to play his 237th straight game.

What he’s having a harder time with is getting used to not practicing.

It’s not fun, but it’s just kind of my reality right now,” Fletcher said, via Rich Campbell of the Washington Times. “It’s staying on top of it. Hopefully as you get further away from the initial injury, you can get some recovery. But what happens is, because I’m still playing on it, you don’t get full rest and recovery. But, hey, I got no time to rest right now.”

His practice schedule is essentially limited to Fridays, but they’d prefer having him on Sundays than Wednesdays, especially with the Redskins a game out of the division lead.

“You’d like to be out there to get your normal reps, just get familiar with the offense that you’re facing,” he said. “What happens is your body gets muscle memory and you start to familiarize yourself with plays, so you would like, but you’ve just got to do as much film study as possible and get whatever you can as far as from a physical standpoint.”

Many players would do anything to get out of practice at this time of year. The fact Fletcher misses it might explain why he’s outlasted so many of them.
