Another questionable call in Washington

Hall2

The Ravens led the Redskins by seven, but the margin has been cut to four in the third quarter.

With Baltimore driving near midfield, quarterback Joe Flacco lost the ball when he was hit while trying to throw a pass. Washington recovered, and then drove the ball into position for a 48-yard field goal.

The turnover came one play after the Ravens picked up 15 yards of field position on a bad call from the officials. After Flacco overthrew receiver Torrey Smith, Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall hit Smith in the shoulder pads with Hall’s hands.

Hall was flagged for a high hit on a defenseless receiver. If nothing else, it balances out the bad call on Ravens defensive lineman Haloti Ngata, who was flagged for hitting Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III in the helmet -- even though there was no helmet contact.
