Lions look good early as weather gets worse

Fan wearing cheesehead hat is seen before NFL football game against Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions in Green Bay Reuters

The Lions didn’t look like an indoor team that hadn’t won in Wisconsin in a couple decades.

In fact, they looked like a team that could thrive in a cold, snowy setting.

The Lions just took the opening drive 80 yards in 12 plays, with quarterback Matthew Stafford bootlegging for a 4-yard touchdown on a fourth down attempt. They only threw three times, and Stafford helped most with his blocking on an end around.

It’s the kind of night where keeping it on the ground would help, and while the Lions aren’t exactly great at it, they’re better equipped for it than the Packers.

We’ll see if Aaron Rodgers is able to throw it as normal.

Hopefully, the Lions can ruin a few teams seasons.

Looking out my window a few blocks from Lambeau. Weather’s not bad at all.

    Shorts weather really.

The biggest issue is people in the Packer’s organization believe Dom Capers can run a defense or that Campen an o-line.

Lions have chewed up so much time matriculating the ball down the field, the Packers Offensive player introductions that the broadcast showcases came with 11:44 in 2nd quarter

They are still the Lions though. Few teams can dominate a first half so thoroughly and still only be up by 4 at the half.

    Say what?
If anyone knows what it’s like to hang out down in the cellar – it’s the lions.
