All the players need to do is get VIncent Jackson’s agent and have them go to work on the “he’s learned his lesson” after the second DUI and every fan, GM and owner will climb aboard the let’s pay him 55 million dollars bandwagon.

They’re too cheap to pay $90? Maybe remind them that a DUI costs $15,000+ and that $90 will look a whole lot better all of a sudden.

If you don’t want to drive home drunk then don’t drive to where you are going out. You aren’t going to make the right choice if you are drunk with car keys in your hand. Get a cab there and you’ll have no choice but to get one home.

I echo motown’s opinion. $90 an hour is outrageous, is that the price of anonimity? Each team should have a couple of gophers to do this duty, fetch the drunks and take them home. Pay them $30 an hour(roughly 60K a year), and everyone is safe and happy. I would gladly fetch my drunken Raiders and drive them home or to the team facility.These things shouldn’t happen anymore, the NFL takes this very seriously.Unfortunately, none are so blind as those that will not see.

Do we really have to coddle these guys that badly? Free? Really?

Now if an owner wants to make it free for his team, that’s a different deal. But “too cheap” to pay $90? Or to lazy to make a call? C’mon. The rest of us Have to call a cab and pay immediately. Getting billed later? What a dream. This should be a government program!

$90 an hour is outrageous, they all live in major cities, get the uber app, it provides a town car service within minutes by requesting on a smartphone.. uber.com… It will change your life.

Can’t understand the mentality that it is up to everyone but the players to be accountable for their actions. Even when there is a good program in place to take them home, for a fee, it still isn’t good enough for people who make more money in a week that others make in a year. The good responsible players never get the publicity.

There is already an app for that. It’s called Uber and its not much more expensive than a cab. Unfortunately it’s only in major cities right now, but maybe the NFLPA should help fund it and so it can expand around the country.

Better if it were free, yes. But when the players can’t control themselves, why is it on the league to make the service more accessible? It’s a “squeaky wheel gets the oil” approach.

Pretty sad that there are people who make 10 times the average persons salary, at minimum, that are too cheap to pay $90/hr for a ride home. Now someone is dead because of it. What a shame.

No other employer provides a similar service. Maybe it’s because they expect their employees and past employees to be accountable for their own actions.
