What’s with Ravens fans complaining about all the injuries to their defense, I suppose the Washington defense was at full strength…oh wait, Orakpo, Carraker, Meriweather on IR and Flecther and Hall playing on bad ankles. Everybody is beat up at this Point.

Congrats to the Skins on a hard fought game. They managed to stick around long enough for the Ravens to eff it up as (what is becoming) usual.

Some thoughts, while I’m definitely no fan of Cam, Cam isnt the one who gave up Joe Flacco’s signature strip sack. And Cam wasn’t the one who, while in the opponents red zone on a third down, threw the ball right in the middle of the Skins’ lineman instead of taking a sack, settling for the FG, and sealing the game. Joe admitted in the post game that he screwed up royally.

While many in Raven Nation will feel down that we lost this totally winnable game to what most of us consider our reliably irrelevant cousins to the south, we should note some things:

We’re missing a future Hall of Fame MLB, our pro-bowl calibre CB, our leading tackler 2nd string MLB, our starting nickleback (1st round pick) from last year, last year’s Defensive Player of the Year, and much of their supporting cast.

Sitting upon a one game lead in the AFC North this late in the season is a miracle and we just lost in OT to one of the most explosive offenses in the league.

It’s not the end of the world, and many of those guys will be back for the playoffs.

Great, hard fought game even though we lost. Major respect to Redskins fans for (mostly) being very gracious winners.

While I’m sure people will find a way to blame Flacco, he played great, with 3 touchdowns in the first half alone. The interception was a freak play and was not his fault.

While David Reed probably had the fumble recovered inbounds, the Ravens needed to drive in overtime and they didn’t. The defense needs work and the no-huddle needs more attention. We were unstoppable when we were in it and dismal out of it.

Stop crying. The Skins were out 4 starters on Defense and their nickel corner. Oh yeah, our starting TE and LT were also out as well as having to start a “rookie qb, rb, and k”.

Flacco blew this game with the horrible interception in the red zone. He could’ve put this thing away halfway through the third quarter. No way they give this guy 100 million and drive this franchise over a clift for the next decade.

I was in a bar in Middle River, about 15 miles north of the Baltimore city limit, with Ravens fans cheering RGIII’s injury and jeering him as he was helped off.

That sort of behavior always bites you in the ass.

Of course our D is terrible – when McClain went out we were down to a rookie 6th round draft pick at ILB. I think they held up pretty well considering how much they were getting sliced in the first quarter.

Ray Lewis is going to be back next week and hopefully we can shore up our line backing crew and get at least some momentum going on that side of the ball next week at home. We still have a two game lead in the division, the sky is not falling.

But seriously, we need to fire Cam Cameron.

Im the biggest Redskins fan going… But if i was Cam Cameron (or Kevin Gilbride last week), i would just keep throwing, our pass defense is awful…. Yet they get fooled by Jim Haslett into running, and we grind out these wins…i’ll take it!!

I am the biggest Flacco hater there is. So much so, that my father won’t even let me mention his name during our phone call after the games. However, today it was not Flacco. He looked great in the first half.

As bad as Cam is, you cant fault the deckhand, it’s on the Captain of the ship. Harbaugh has allowed his playcalling to go throughout the season, entirely unchanged. The only thing that has changed is almost eradication of the hurryup/no huddle that Flacco thrives in.

Harbaugh wins the award for biggest Craven this week.

If Kirk Cousins got all the reps in practice, he could be the next great qb…. With RG3 getting all the reps in practice, you’re seeing the next great qb…. If the Redskins get a safety (or two), and a corner ( or two), they can compete next year deep into the playoffs, maybe for a trip to the Big One….do not doubt me…

To paraphrase what Darin Gantt said re: the Steelers after they lost to the Chargers, the Ravens looked like a team no one would be scared of down the stretch. A loss last week to the 3rd string Steeler QB on the Raven’s home field no less and now a loss to the Skins. BTW, the Steelers beat the Skins handily when they played.
