Essentially the 4th and 23 was a hand-thrown punt. If they scored, then wonderful. If it gets intercepted, the Cards are (probably) down deep on their own side of the field. If it’s incomplete, then the good news is that you gave Flynn a deep-ball rep and gave your special teams a breather from having to sprint down the field again. Covering 58 points worth of kickoffs probably had a lot of them winded.

Stop the crying already. Any defense would love for an offense to go for it on 4th and 28. It’s such a low percentage play that if you can’t stop it you deserve to be ridiculed. Once the back up QB and other second string starters enter the game there is no such thing as running up the score.

Some of those sideline shots of the Card’s bench definitely didn’t look like they were getting spanked as bad as they were. I’m not saying that they have to go all Dockett on each other when they’re losing that bad, but watching Patrick Peterson laugh and smile after fumbling really is a bad sign for AZ. If I were a fan of theirs, I would want a change at head coach just to adjust their culture.

The Seahawk defenders caught more of Skelton’s passes than his WR’s did. Fitz caught 1 pass for 2 yards. Totally embarrassing!

If Peyton Manning had picked the Cards….
he’d have likely watched this game from the sideline while wearing a cast or other protective device because the offensive line has give up a league leading 50+ sacks and 83 QB hits, fourth most in the league.
The four teams that have given up the most QB hits are:
1) 103 hits–Eagles–Vick is out of the year.
2) 97 hits–Colts–The Rookie is taking a serious licking but so far keeps on ticking.
3) 86 hits–Jaguars–Blain Gabbert is out for the year.
4) 83hits–Cardinals–Kevin Kolb has been out since 10/14 and his return date is uncertain.

I have no problem with running up the score in the past 2 years 2 teams have come back down 24 at half. Of coarse neither of those 2 teams had Skelton slingin the rock

Wow, I didn’t realize Peyton Manning played defense or had the remarkable power to stop an opposing team’s offense from scoring 58 points. I guess when you’re as awesome as Peyton you can do anything right? The media’s love affair with Peyton Manning jumped the shark years ago.

Gotta admit, thought they should have just run the ball the whole fourth quarter, BUT, it was first Flynn’s first time under center and he needs some work too. Those end zone passes, though…not too cool. Of course, Cards turned a simple two yard dump off to Baldwin into a 26 yard gain and then laid down for the last Seattle TD…so seriously, almost all the blame goes onto Cards’ backs

The Seahawks Offensive starters were pulled with 10 mins left in the THIRD Qtr. Unlike the team you mentioned who has starters throwing deep passes and going for TDs with 4 mins left in 4th qtr.

38-0 at the half, so the Seahawks only scored 20 in the second half.

Also, Seattle pulled its 1st string QB less than five minutes into the second half, while Giselle’s husband routinely plays the whole game.

Its one thing to have a bad performance one week. But c’mon guys! Admit your mistake and move on from this terrible QB situation. You can’t give a well qualified street FA a chance?

The Cardinals fans, Larry Fitz and their terrific defense deserve better than 2 QBs who would likely struggle to make a CFL team at this point.

Cards are a solid defense but Seahawks special teams and defense played lights out and they played well all year. The whole offensive line really pushed around that stout Cardinal team and Beast Mode had 128 yards and 3 TD’s by the 3rd. Watching this you could really got to see some young guys shine as they came in early in the 3rd. Thurmond, Irvin, McCoy, Turbin are just as talented as I thought. The Cards need to fix that o-line before considering QB changes. Bobby Wagner DROY. Go Hawks!

what a historically bad performance by the cards. how bad is your offense when you abandon the run due to the score and STILL can barely muster 150 yards? this was ridiculous, and even a lions fan would pity your fanbase. tough luck for AZ, and i feel for fitz – he’s being held hostage by the preposterous QB play.

As a ‘Hawk fan, I suppose I could gloat, but it’s not really my style.

Instead, Card fans, remember this: Every good team was at one time a bad team. At some point, that bad team made changes that made them a good team, and often, it took one really brutal moment to make it happen.

Examples:

The Niners of the late 70s trading a boatload of picks for an over-the-hill OJ Simpson – result, the wiped out their front office and brought in Walsh.

The Giants of 1979 fumbling a simple handoff, losing to the Eagles (Moby Fumble) – result, they hire Bill Parcells.

Those are the most extreme examples, but, at some point in the future, you may look back and realize that this was the day that Change really began.
