Ravens outside linebacker Terrell Suggs said earlier this week he was a game-time decision.
Game-time’s near, and the Ravens have decided. Per multiple reports, the team announced Suggs would not play today against the Redskins.
While getting him back this week seemed a long-shot anyway because of his torn biceps, it’s a significant blow against their neighbors. Keeping Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III in the pocket is the key to any defensive game plan against them, and without Suggs, the Ravens lack the kind of edge speed to do that.
