Lions are a much better team all around.... They make stupid mistakes that has cost them @least 6 games this year! I don't understand how they can absolutely dominate , then unravel so much!
And , as an unbiased fan watching the game, they called 5-6 penalties against the Lions, @ crucial times that kept the Packers in it, then on the flip side, the "non" calls on the cheesy side were Not!
I have grown used to this over the years. To say they were gifted numerous holds & PI calls, is to have blinders on. Collinsworth, didn't even know what to say,

I love the confidence of these packer fans after beating the Lions and the QB-less Vikings.. I wonder if this year’s eventual choke will be anywhere as good as last year’s?

And don't forget that the Pack did what no other team did. Beat the undefeated Texans in Houston.

Yes they did it without their two best defenders, and an injured line, and missing one of their top 2 WRs each game.

They will get healthier.

If you choose to watch MNF tonight, when they show the records thus far, remember who has been they only team to beat the Texans.

They also did it in a very convincing fashion

“It’s because the national don’t know jack squat about about Bears or Jay Cutler. I made a thread on a message board asking why people hate Cutler and no one gave a good reason. Just stuff said on national broadcast. Aaron Rodgers had a little spat on 60 minutes that made him come off as mighty dickish and he’s often very arrogant in press conferences.
I guess backing into one super bowl gives him a pass…”

Incredible insight from the bears.

Not sure where you found that quote, but it wasn't written by the Bears, or any of their literate fans.

Great victory. This isn't the first week the Packers have run the ball well. They ran it just as well last week against the Vikings. This is exactly what the offense needs, and I think they're starting to show it's not a fluke.

I think Mason Crosby is back on track. That 52 yarder barely missed, and he was perfect on the rest of his kicks. It looks like every few years you just gotta be patient with Crosby for a few games.

LOL... Why whine about the Packers winning the game? Half of you cats arent even Lion fans, and you are bitching about the refs and everything else.

Here is the deal. The Packers were actually called for penalties on some pretty iffy calls. I can think of 3 right in the 1st quarter.

And Suh's 15 yarder was Iffy? Really? He took 3 full steps toward Rodgers after Rodgers released the ball. Then he extrended his arm in an obvious push of frustration. It is against the rules, period.

Anyway. The Lions lack discipline. That is why they are losing like they do. If a team gets a lead of 10 or more, that team should hold that lead 75% of the time. Last years Lions were disciplined and won the same games they are losing this season. It is all on the Coaches for not keeping control of how their team plays the game.

1) This was Suh's first personal foul all season. If two steps and a shove, as explained by the ref is unnecessary roughness, the refs ignored about three on Stafford.
2)I'm mot sure why a team would need institutional control for a guy with two penalties, one of which is normally ignored throughout the league.
3) Unless the Packers new trick was to hope quarterbacks have the ball slip out of their hands, the run game wouldn't have meant squat last night. That gift TD was the biggest play in the game and it wasn't some scary game plan, but a fluke play.

One thing will always get you a win also….

Having the refs miss so many calls.

I said it here last year and I’m saying it here again, the Packer get away with a huge amount of holding on that OL. It’s part of every great QB’s stats.
----------------------------------------------------------

The Packers O-line has more holes in it than all the Swiss cheese in the largest cheese warehouse in Wisconsin.
How else can you explain that A-Rod is the #1 sacked QB in the NFL?

"No one’s going to take Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson completely out of a game, but Williams came as close as anyone has (Johnson finished with 10 catches for 118 yards, and it seemed like a slow night)."

Week 6 vs. the Bears: 3 receptions, 34 yards
Week 7 vs. Seattle: 3 receptions, 46 yards

For the whole game, not just agaainst any particular defender...Williams did great keeping CJ in check, but Johnson had a typical night overall.

And to be fair, in those games where CJ was shut down, Titus Young had decent #s...Whatever happened to him?

I sincerely hope Calvin gets the record for yards, he deserves to break some kind of record. We should just admire this guy because I think it's gonna be a while before someone shows up with his kind of talent and heart.
Lions have really struggled, but he doesn't quit. Imagine being on the 2008 lions. He was, but he keeps his head in the right place. Right now the Lions have no one else to line up next to him, and to still have a legitimate chance to break Jerry's record is insane. and plus he doesn't complain or act like a diva. Great kid. Respect.

"It's because the national don't know jack squat about about Bears or Jay Cutler. I made a thread on a message board asking why people hate Cutler and no one gave a good reason. Just stuff said on national broadcast. Aaron Rodgers had a little spat on 60 minutes that made him come off as mighty dickish and he's often very arrogant in press conferences.
I guess backing into one super bowl gives him a pass..."

Incredible insight from the bears.

One thing will always get you a win also….

Having the refs miss so many calls.

Collinsworth set an NFL broadcasting record tonight for saying things like should have been a penalty, maybe was a penalty, almost a penalty and possibly is a penalty. 9/10 of them was being said about the Packers on replays of calls Ray Charles could have saw.

I said it here last year and I’m saying it here again, the Packer get away with a huge amount of holding on that OL. It’s part of every great QB’s stats.
