Jets-Chargers was a dog. I think Smith has it wrong about flex scheduling. It is not to ensure that there is a great game on Sunday night; it is to ensure that there won’t be an awful game on Sunday night.

This should be a great game but how soon people forget for a game to be a rivalry the other team must win a few times. The Niners have beaten the SeaHawks 4 in a row dating back to 2010 and boast a 4-1 record the past 5 games. That one loss was in the Singletary era when Singletary thanked Pete Carroll for whopping their butt. Don’t think Harbaugh is cut from that cloth.
Be careful before you crown the Hawks division champs because the Niners play their best when it counts. Niners win this one in a close one 20-16……

Seahawks were rebuilding in 2010-2011, had the most transactions of any team in NFL and we still had competitive 1 score games vs 49ers versus expect for one beat down we took as well. How soon San Fran fans forget 2002-2010 – Seahawks used 49ers as a punching bag but we still considered it a rivalry because the mutual dislike. I don’t mind Cardinal or Ram fans but that’s about it. Lynch in prime time with a much improved Wilson at Century Link. It’s going to be a game game.

That was a critical 2010 game as it was for the NFC West division title. In fact, the Rams-Seahawks are again playing in Week 17, and it also could be for the division title: the Hawks have to sweep their remaining 3 games whereas the 9ers only have to go 1-2. The 9ers can lose to the Pats and the Hawks, but still win the title by beating the woeful Cardinals in Week 17 at home. If the 9ers go 0-2, and the Hawks go 2-0 in the next two weeks, the West will be decided by spoilers Cards and Rams.

Jets still have a punchers chance to make the playoffs (as quick as that would end). So its not a complete waste of a game.

Don’t hate just because ESPN doesn’t shut up about the Jets. Its not like they want the attention…err.

Sweet! Maybe if we beat sf in prime time, Seattle will finally get a smudge of respect heading into the post season.

Now that this move has been official, the Seahawks will proceed to lose to the Bills on the road ( they lost to the Dolphins 8 days ago ) and the Niners will beat the Patriots (play well on the road against pass heavy teams like Packers and Saints). So by the time this game comes around the division will be locked up. I guess the Seahawks will still be playing for a wild card slot and the Niners will be playing for #2 in the division.

I believe these next two weeks will be VERY difficult…both the Pats and Hawks are playing at a very high level and these will be tough road games to say the least.

Both games will be great and will come down to who executes and who doesn’t.

This will be a great game. Better than the first matchup. The Niners play awesome in night games and Seattle is lookin like a playoff team. Of course I’d love to go up there and silence that crowd. Tough task tho. Niner fans, I’m curious, which game do you like better, Pats or Hawks? Im sayin Hawks cuz it’s a division matchup

Century Link field holds around 72,000 fans. If you are going, that leaves 71,999 that will be extremely ecstatic that the game has been flexed!
Prime time games are for some people, a once in a life time experience that can lead to the players really bringing their A game.

Hopefully the Packers/Vikings or Redskins/Cowboys game gets moved to the 8:30pm slot on week 17. With all four teams fighting for the NFC playoff spots it’s going to be a wild night.
The rivalries will be a huge bump in ratings in my opinion.
