funny, same thing was said about tom coughlin.
he got 2 superbowl victories.

only “non” players like yourself would have a problem with harbaugh’s coaching. he is amongst the most winning coaches in the history of the nfl. everybody in the nfl would play for him. the exceptions are bad apples. why don’t you ask why was BJ let go by the giants?

Harbaugh will get exactly what he deserve in the first playoff game they play. the 49ers will lose and the media will bring up every thing he done this season. Bullying the replacement refs.. turning his back on Smith and the fact that Smith will refuse to play for them next year. and now this.. suspending Brandon instead of just benching him.

I respect Bradshaw and I knew a Giants fan would get angry when I read the first comment but honestly Bradshaw is not Gore. This season alone Gore has more yards, more yards per carry, more TD’s, more 1st downs….Bradshaw, he has more fumbles. Gore has 6 career 1000 yard seasons, Bradshaw 2 (I’m giving him this year) Based on your logic, Trent Dilfer (1 ring) is greater than Dan Marino (0 rings). The Giants team has been better than the Niners team recently for sure. I would not trade Gore for Bradshaw at any point in his career so far. Gore on the Giants for the last 8 years would not even be fair.

Giants might not need him, Bradshaw is showing solid right now, Wilson looks pretty dynamic even dropped some solid blitz blocking Sunday, just signed two guys two weeks ago who are experienced. Arizona, Buffalo, St L behind Jackson, Min behind AP, Green Bay there are loads of teams that could use back strength.

did anyone see what wilson did for us against the saints.. jacobs should of been off the giants 2 years ago the only thing hes good for is energizing the team with his yelling..his best skills are suited for running thru players and short yardage but he tries to sidestep knowing damn well he cant be like the a.ps of the world so he tricked himself into being terrible.. we dnt need him back in NY

49ers suspended RB Brandon Jacobs for the final three games of the regular season.
Updating a previous item, Jacobs was not waived. 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh isn’t letting him off that easy. Jacobs had complained about his role in recent weeks, and he had no value to the Niners other than depth behind Frank Gore, new change-of-pace back LaMichael James, and short-yardage option Anthony Dixon. Rather than waive Jacobs and let him go to a fellow NFC playoff contender like the Giants, the 49ers are stashing him on the reserve/suspended list.

There’s a general misconception amongst fans who may have not have been following this story throughout the season about why exactly Jacobs has not played much.

Brandon Jacobs has been since Day One as a 49er the third or fourth string RB on the team. Assuredly , Frank Gore and Kendall Hunter are 1 and 2 (and I would assume he knew that when he signed). Generally in the NFL a team’s third string RB tends to play special teams as well, therefore justifying his spot on the game day roster. But Brandon Jacobs DOES NOT play special teams. That is why Anthony Dixon would get the nod ahead of him.

Frank Gore is not Ahmad Bradshaw. He can gain first downs on 3rd and short situations as well as run in goal line touchdowns. Hunter getting hurt presented Jacobs a golden opportunity to get on the field and he is apparently too depressed to take advantage of it.

Is it common practice Mr. Harbaugh to not talk at all with certain players on your team? I understand if you don’t want to comment on the nature of conversations, but you are saying no comment to even speaking with the man.

So in other words we are to assume it is definitely possible that you will on occasion consider cutting off communication with certain players on your team presumably because it’s more valuable to you to not have to talk with certain players than to continue trying to work with them in some way during trying or challenging times?

Gore is old. He’s done a great job of staying healthy but I think they’re just saving Jacobs for the playoffs. Fresh legs, etc. Harbaugh would rather the NFL just forget he existed until then. But if he got 20 carries in a divisional round game or something, it would be a change of pace, scheme, and gameplan DC’s may not have a great plan to deal with.

B)There are too many reporters, so the bad ones worry about gossip and drama more than the game itself.
