Marijuana being ‘legal’ is a myth…. It’s still a violation of Federal law in all 50 states, just because the individual states decide to ‘allow’ it doesn’t take it off Schedule I… and the Supreme court has already ruled that regulating it is a Federal power.

something tells me the NFL isn’t going to allow players to violate federal law regardless if all 50 states ‘legalize’ it…. the DOJ could decide to start busting people any minute…
===============================

GOD there are some sheep that frequent here. One of the biggest issues in this country is too big of government and the states no handling things themselves. NO, I do not toke myself but I see nothing wrong with it either. Your federal government has no issues with you eating GMO, but you can't smoke a plant?

It will never happen on Hanging Judge Roger Goodell's watch, but the NFL needs to conduct a serious re-examination of its entire banned-substance policy under the supervision of medical experts, not corporate bosses. It's absurd for players to be fined and suspended for using over-the-counter supplements they can buy at GNC.

These are professional athletes whose livelihoods depend on their bodies--of course they're trying to speed healing and enhance their performance. Why shouldn't they? The NFL's only concern shoud be whether the substances they use are legal, safe, and obtained through medically sound sources. These draconian witch hunts don't serve the well-being of the players or the good of the league. And while I don't use either, I agree that it's the worst kind of hypocrisy to suspend players for smoking pot when alcohol is a considerably more dangerous drug.

Plenty of people have been killed by people who were driving high! NFL players might not have done it but don't act like people who are high don't cause horrific accidents. It's very easy to zone out behind the wheel when stoned.
