Bowles interviewed for Temple job last night

There were reports yesterday of Eagles defensive coordinator Todd Bowles’ interest in the vacant head coaching job at Temple.

The timing was good, since according to the Philadelphia Inquirer, he interviewed at his alma mater last night.

Bowles played at Temple in the mid-1980s, and was the sixth candidate to interview. Giants offensive line coach Matt Rhule was among the others, according to the report.

Temple athletic director Bill Bradshaw declined comment on Bowles or any of the other candidates, saying he thought he’d have a decision by next week.

Take the job now after the defense had a good game against TB, if the defense falls back on Thursday, Temple might not offer the gig.

Bowles went from a head coaching candidate in the NFL to a head coaching candidate at temple. Good decision on coming to the eagles. Another year he would have been interviewing at middle schools for def cordinator positions.
