Oakland Raiders running back Darren McFadden was back at practice on Monday after re-injuring his ankle in Thursday night’s loss to the Denver Broncos.

McFadden had missed four game with a high ankle sprain before returning to the Raiders lineup against Denver. McFadden carried 11 times for 52 yards and caught two passes for 12 yards in a touchdown before re-injuring his ankle late in the game.

According to Vic Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle, McFadden was able to practice Monday.

“It made my nerves kind of jittery,” McFadden said. “(But) it was more of a scare than anything. It was cool today. … I was moving good, making all my cuts. I’m not concerned.”

The return of McFadden to practice so quickly should alleviate any concerns the Raiders had of him being unavailable against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.

  1. Why?
At 3-10 in Knapp’s offence no sense in returning … let it heal 100% and wait until next year.

  2. Super talented but it does not matter. He can’t stay healthy and doesn’t know how to run behind a zone blocking line (not that the Raider’s line is actually blocking though).

  3. last year prior to the injury he was leading the nfl in rushing yards.

This year under Greg “makes me want to take a ” Knapp he leads the league for the most east west yards behind the line of scrimmage for no gain.

  4. DMac, you need to be ready for the Chiefs. I am a huge KC fan, and we need that first pick, (Geno Smith). So, stop screwin’ around and get it together. You guys always play well against KC, so don’t stop now. Remember, the Raiders HATE the Chiefs!

“last year prior to the injury he was leading the nfl in rushing yards.”

And, there you go. “Prior to the Injury” would apply to every single season in which he’s been in the NFL. He’s as frail as a China Doll. No value in football.

There are numerous articles about Peterson and his remarkable exploits. This isn’t one of them, Mr. Obvious.
