While the Pats started slow this season, they are finishing strong. The Texans are a good team but benefited from a fairly soft early schedule to start quickly.

Typical Pats fan. The Texans weren’t getting anywhere near the Pats media coverage, and now the media is slobbering all over them, and deservedly so. But let’s see how the playoffs go before crowning them SB champs already.

And the Patriots losses, no matter by how much, were still losses. This isn’t the BCS, style points don’t matter. If you’re going to go with style points, then explain how they “only” beat the Jets by a FG in OT?

Also, to say Watt is not at the level of Wilfork is just a fanboy insult. Wilfork has had a HoF career and he had a great game, but he’s not in the same class as Watt who’s only in his second year and doing things never before done in NFL history.

It won’t make any difference. The Colts have the 5 seed locked up and will play The Ravens in the WC round. Denver is now stuck at the 3 seed even if they win out (based on the H2H with Houston).

The Texans will go 2-1 in their last 3 games and be the number 2 seed. NE will smack the 49ner’s next week at Foxborough and will win out. NE will be the number one seed in the AFC. Get used to it. It’s over. NE appears to be too damn good now at the right time.

I do want to tip my hat though to the Texans for their demeanor and professionalism, both during and after the game. They are a pretty classy group compared to most. No excuses, no whining and no finger-pointing. They simply got schooled and are moving on. I am not a Kubiak (not even sure I spelled it correctly) fan but I think he has done an admirable job in Houston. Not likely these two teams will meet again this season, but you never know, so if that happens, I hope it’s at Gillette. Therefor I will have to (reluctantly) buy a Colts hat sometime this week. Great feel-good night for ML, another very classy guy.

They were too full of themselves. In the short run, that one had to do a number on their confidence. This whole “statement game” for the franchise was stupid. They played in two playoff games last year. Those are generally more important than regular season games, especially when you have a two game lead in the conference standings with four games left.
