Vikings running back Adrian Peterson has 1,600 yards in 13 games. That puts him on pace for 1,969.
He’s aimed a little higher than that.
As he told Peter King after Sunday’s win over the Bears, Peterson is shooting not for 2,000 but 2,106 -- one yard more than the all-time single-season record held by Rams running back Eric Dickerson.
Earlier this morning, Dan Patrick asked Peterson if Dickerson should be nervous.
“I think so,” Peterson said. “I think so.”
