Packers could get Clay Matthews back, not Jordy Nelson

Matthews

As the Packers try to nail down their second straight NFC North crown, they still have multiple injured players.

One is likely returning this week. Another one isn’t.

Coach Mike McCarthy said Wednesday that the “plan” is for linebacker Clay Matthews to play. Receiver Jordy Nelson, however, remains a “long shot.”

Matthews has missed the last four games with a hamstring injury. Nelson, who aggravating a hamstring injury against the Vikings 10 days ago, missed Sunday night’s 27-20 win over the Lions.

The Packers face the Bears at Soldier Field on Sunday.
