Schwartz with a knee jerk reaction to throw a flag he knows better than that.

Just like Suh knows you can’t take more than one step, but he couldn’t resist it and decided to just take a cheap shot after 3 or 4.

Also like the group celebration, on Sunday night. They know they shouldn’t but they can’t resist, its just a boneheaded choice to make.

So if Kubiak had challenged it, he would have been assessed a 15 yard penalty on kickoff, but the play would still be reviewed. Kind of quirky. This has been talked about in great detail, but people still don’t seem to understand it. If you throw your challenge flag in hopes the play will not be reviewed because the play was in your favor, it will still be reviewed. So no, you can’t just challenge everytime you score a TD.

the best part is they won’t even lose a challenge in doing so. every “close” touchdown that they score they can just throw the red flag and be guaranteed a touchdown and kickoff from the 20.

In theory, but no. The rule states that replay cannot benefit the team that threw the flag, so if Kubiak would have thrown the flag only Detroit could benefit, which they surely would have being that Forsett was down.

The reason the 2 coaches threw the red flag is because the call/no calls were so outrageously bad, they lost their mind!
Like stated in the article, the object of replay is to get the play call correct. Not to treat grown men like 5 year old kindergarten kids… because it’s so difficult to pick up the flag and hand it back to the coach and say it’s going to be reviewed.

It is just the undisciplined ones, who will be watching on T.V., who have problems with the rule.
I still think the rule is stupid, and should be changed, but it won’t be a problem during the playoffs.
