Congradulations to the San Diego Madison High Warhawks. They won their very first state championship on friday beating Northern California Maron Catholic High school 38-35. It was a heck of a game.

C’mon, technically this isn’t a blackout, it’s a Norv-out. Fans are staying-away from this team in droves because it lacks killer instinct under the current regime (and just as much blame for this can be attributed to A.J. Smith who seems to think low-balling player contracts = wins). However…Norv is the Lazarus of the NFL, so SD will probably win their remaining games (CAR, NYJ, OAK [not exactly a "murderers row"]) and finish 8-8. And ownership will decide, sadly & mistakenly, to keep this GM/coach tandem in place (once again). Of course, this will lead to yet another season of same ol’, same ol’ and the only fans rejoicing will be those in DEN, KC, & OAK.

San Diego has as many fair-weather fans as anywhere else.

I’m curious to see if the LA raider fans will take advantage of San Diego disinterest and fill Qualcomm like they used to do so many years ago. Given the how bad the raiders are also playing, I don’t know what to expect.

Wow it doesn’t seem that long ago that as a Pats fan I used to get nervous about when they played the Chargers. Truth be told, the game between them I was thinking of was like 6 years ago. Pats are still perennial contenders and the Chargers….not so much anymore.

Because you guys care more about Gator football than your pro teams. Same with Atlanta with Georgia football and NASCAR. Just hard to take the southern states too seriously when it comes to your pro sports fans.

In Goodell’s new NFL, they would be in the playoff hunt and still selling tickets. I would hate a league that has a team like the Chargers being in contention for the playoffs.
