Packers tight end Jermichael Finley got a lot of attention this week for saying the Bears defense might be better without linebacker Brian Urlacher.

If you want to take a less controversial position, you could say that the Packers defense is worse when linebacker Clay Matthews isn’t in the lineup. Unlike the Bears, it doesn’t appear the Packers will be without their guy this Sunday.

Matthews has been listed as probable by the Packers and Mike Vandermause of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports that coach Mike McCarthy said he expects Matthews to make an impact against Chicago. He also said that he’d likely limit Matthews’ snaps in his first game back after missing the last four with a hamstring injury.

As expected, wide receiver Jordy Nelson was ruled out for the Packers. Guard Josh Sitton didn’t practice on Friday because of a hip injury and he’ll be listed as questionable for Sunday.
