And Temple has made enough mistakes in returning to the Big East (witness current news in addition to Temple’s just completed season) and in hiring folks like Addazio who clearly did not fit Temple and was not going to stay.bTemple is not going to win in the Big East, so best to emphasize other values.

Further, Temple could have sent a powerful signal in hiring Bowles given that are so few African-Am head coaches, period (college or pro).

Even Tom Bradley would’ve been a hire steeped in wanting stability…

They’ve made a lot of mistakes in the past few years: hiring coaches they knew who would not stay, going into the Big East. At least acknowledge that you value your graduates.
