With a cleared Vick, Reid says he’ll “stick with Nick”

It wasn’t an inspiring performance, but in these white-flag days in Philadelphia, it was enough.

After last night’s 34-13 loss to the Bengals, and after Michael Vick was cleared from his concussion, Eagles coach Andy Reid said he was going to continue to start the rookie the final two weeks, according to Zach Berman of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

I’m going to stick with Nick,” Reid said, apparently going for a slogan to put on a bumper sticker (which you can see as he drives into the sunset soon).

Foles was a middling 16-of-33 for 182 yards, with a touchdown and an interception, losing a fumble as well as part of the Eagles’ five-turnover barrage.

Of course, when you’re in the middle of an avalanche like the Eagles season has become, it’s hard to blame an individual flake of snow, so if there’s no real accountability, they might as well let the rookie get some live reps.
