It always blows my mind after a gun related tragedy how quickly the gun nut automatons spring into defense mode. This would not have happened with a baseball bat or a rock. It happened with a high powered semi-automatic assault rifle, a gun whose only purpose is to shoot and kill people, a gun which in this case allowed a deranged man to shoot and kill 26 people at a whim.
