Griffin won’t even suit up on Sunday

Griffin

So much for the cryptic tweet from the Redskins that Kirk Cousins “is expected” to start at quarterback.

According to Albert Breer of NFL Network, usual starter Robert Griffin III won’t even be in uniform for Sunday’s game at Cleveland, due to a knee injury suffered last Sunday.

This means that the options at quarterback will be Cousins and the original RG3 (and out), Rex Grossman.

The 7-6 Redskins have won four games in a row, and they need another victory today to remain in the playoff chase.
