He IS gifted. But, those gifts don’t include a couple of important ones…. making reads at NFL speed and throwing the ball to the place it needs to be. He’s awesome at the whole running around thing.

The coaching staff sees him every practice. Every drill. Do you really believe that if there was something there that they wouldn’t try everything possible to capitalize on it? Especially now when seats must be getting warm?
These guys do football for a living. They know very well how their future is tied to success on the field. Do you honestly think they wouldn’t fall all over themselves to be the crew that developed the first homegrown Raider star QB in decades?
If there was any chance at all that Pryor could be that player, they’d be all over it. Guaranteed.

Playing him at this point only creates the possibility of value eroding misplays on film.

That does make sense to me Justwin— although it would be wildly self serving —

1) what they see in practice shows he’s not ready

2) Allen knows his best chance of returning next year is to win some games and he feels Palmer gives him a better opportunity

3) both 1 & 2

The Raiders had a chance to start to see what TP could do at quarterback. It was a no loss proposition. The worst that could have happened was to improve their draft pick. I would think how they regard TP is critical to how they regard where they are going. But, for Heaven only knows what reason that audition was apparewntly limited to 2 snaps and then back to Palmer who is definitely not the future –Man can someone on here help me out–what gives with this team. Is the managemnt really this inept or am I missing something—

I think what the Raiders are saying is that they have so many holes to fill that Palmer is the future, at least for now. They’re handcuffed by the draft picks the previous regime gave up for Palmer, and don’t believe Pryor is the answer.

Pryor is not an NFL QB,,he is an athlete that the idiot Davis fell in love with, like so many other athletes and not football players he wasted draft picks on..this is Reggie’s first year..if you thought they were going to be good this year with that pathetic defense, you’re a dolt..this is going to take at least 2-3 years to turn this thing around..Davis left Reggie with a huge mess both financially and with terrible players
