Dallas had a lot of their stars playing in that game (randy white, danny white, tony dorsett and others that crossed the picket line). No skins players crossed the strike lines that year. Gibbs went and got a qb and other players from prison and probation, grocery stores etc to play in that game and we won (spawing the flim “the replacements”. That in itself makes that superbowl winning year even more magical and unbelievable. Gibbs doesn’t get nearly enough credit as he should. Going to 4 superbowls and winning 3. Parcels and Ditka were great too but fall short of Gibbs. Hail to the Redskins!

The Washington Redskins won 3 Super Bowls, and yeah one was in a strike shortened season and they won putting up the 35 points in the second quarter against Elway in the prime of his career. You might be one of the only people I’ve ever heard try to discredit that victory in anyway.

Actually, two of our Super Bowl wins were during strike shortened seasons. XVII and XXII were during strke years.
