Well I am a Cowboys fan so I’m biased but even if you hate Dallas, Witten is a player that everyone can respect. Always classy and respectful.

As a New York Giants fan I despise many of the Dallas Cowboys players but Jason Witten isn’t one of them.

He plays the game hard, doesn’t run his mouth, doesn’t celebrate after catches, he’s a blue-collar football player, a rareity nowadays.

Congrats to him, he’s made Tony Romo a household name and the same for Witten.

I am just confused that other quarterbacks haven’t taken notice of the success those two have had over the years and try to replicate it.

Witten is a sure-fire Hall of Famer and a class act, can’t hate on him.

For the record, I’m a huge Cowboy hater but this is impressive. Especially when you look at how poorly he started the season. He had that lacerated spleen at the beginning of the season and couldn’t seem to hold onto anything Romo threw him.

He then seemed to wake up at the end of the 1st qtr of the season and has really come on.

Is it weird to anyone else that offensive records are about to be broken on bad teams.

Calvin Johnson on the Lions
Ad on the Vikes (technically a playoff team)
Witten on the Cowboys

Yet two defensive players are within striking distance of the greatest defensive record both on very good teams

Smith on the Niners
Watt on the Texans

That’s the one thing the Dallas Cowboys get right sometimes. Their tight ends…guys like Witten, Novacek and Hennings have always been a class act guys that are hard workers.

The Tight ends is such a versatile position. Run, catch and block.

I hate the Cowboys, but this guy is pure class. Tough, doesn’t make any excuses, rarely celebrates and just goes about the business of catching the ball. Congrats Jason, we’d all love you on our team.

“It’s a pretty incredible performance by Witten seeing that the start of his season was nearly delayed due to a lacerated spleen suffered in the preseason. Witten already set an NFL record this season by catching 18 passes in a loss to the New York Giants in October. It was the most catches by a tight end in league history and set a Cowboys’ record for most catches by a player at any position”

Jason Witten is well deserving of the record. He’ll get it from having worked so hard, for so long.

Great example of a leader both on and off the field. Wish him nothing but the best. He’s earned it.

Well, Witten is one of the few Cowboys it is hard to really say much bad about. Guy came from a rough start in life and seems to have turned into a good role model for kids. Straight up baller on the field also. Loved that a few years back when his helmet got ripped off by some guy trying to make a tackle and he broke out of it and rolled another 10 yards with no helmet. Rules have changed since then though.
