You want Tebow as your QB – cool – but please not on any team I want to see win.
I’d be MORE than happy to have Tebow – as a safety – he’s buff, quick, and hopefully, being a “QB” he knows offensive tendencies. Don’t know if he would hit hard though – but he sure has the capability – he could be GREAT – as safety. He can sit on a bench – as a QB.

There are 32 starting QBs in the NFL – and while I am still amazed that some teams have made the QB choices they have made (Arizona…) – no way do I think Tebow is anywhere NEAR top 32 – not close. Tebow at starting QB would be a “well..we don’t have anyone else” move.
Tebow in New York is a sideshow – and nothing more. I doubt they ever had ANY plan to start him – if ya did – why did you draft another QB?

From the outside it’s clear. First to go should be Sanchez, he’s not NFL quality. Next to go should be this Rex Ryan pretend coach. Look what he has done to the Jets. The guy that messed up the Jets is still calling the shots, what do you expect? As for Tebow, it’s also clear that the girlie men on the Jets and around the league are afraid of him.

McElroy doesn’t have an arm? He can out-throw Tebow.

As for destroying his confidence… Doubtful. He played under Saban and has a championship under his belt. He may get outplayed but he can throw downfield and he won’t be shaken.

There is this misconception out there that Tebow just lucked into an ideal situation and got credit he deserved no part of. Please google “2011 NFL preview” to see what the expectations were for Denver. They were the consensus last place finishers in their division. Were they simply misjudged? Well, they started out 1-4 with a quarterback who looked obviously superior in practice.

Under Tebow they went 7-4. Yes, the defense stepped up and deserves credit. The kicker made some great kicks. Lucky breaks happened. But there was also a lot of clutch play in crucial situations from Tebow – situation like the Jets were facing Monday night. Gratuitous Tebow-bashing is very trendy right now, but it’s not very objective.

It’s absurd to simultaneously argue (1) that Mark Sanchez stinks; and (2) that Ryan is a bad coach. It’s got to be one or the other. It can’t be both. Ryan’s been a HC in the league for four years, and he’s gone to two AFC Championship Games with Sanchez. If Sanchez is really that bad, then that’s one hell of an achievement.

That’s like saying the Musgrave/Ponder combo is working really well in MN. Campbell is souless and it showed in his playing. The only reason that offense moved down the field is because of Run DMC.

It’s not anti-Tebow to say he isn’t skilled enough to be a starting QB in the NFL. He made it to the playoffs running an offense that cannot work long term in the NFL. He isn’t capable of running a proper NFL offense. RGIII, Russel Wilson and Kaepernick both have most of what Tebow has in terms of the run game and they all can throw it accurately. Tebow can’t do it. That is not anti-Tebow, it’s just logic and truth.

He said “Brady Quinn is smiling” because the same thing happened to him in Denver as what’s happening to Tebow in New York. Quinn was widely believed to be the “#2″ behind Orton, but was “bypassed” for Tebow. Now Tebow suffers the same fate. That’s why Brady would be smiling. The statement had nothing to do with Quinn’s ability as a QB.

All the jets need in 2013 to be competitive is to shore up both lines as they both suck, 1 more fast rb and two receivers and they are at least 9-7 with Sanchez

I feel sorry for McElroy! Sparano will expect him to run the “Wildcat” now. And Gregg is a real QB with an arm, brain, daring and imagination. Things just got interesting in NY. They are now starting the guy who should have started day 1 of this season. Especially after McElroy had the courage to call out the poisonous teammates (Plaxico and Santonio) publicly and to their faces. I wish him well. Even though I’m a Patriot fan. But I think this guy could be a hidden pearl, if Sparano doesn’t wreck him.
