It seemed flat obvious that Rex was not HC material, and most certainly that Sanchez was not franchise material. Character shows itself no matter the age or experience level. Could you imagine Luck or RGIII acting like Sanchez did in that pre-season. (and they are only rookies). And Rex thinks coaching amounts to giving profanity filled motivational speeches. The Jets are reaping what they sowed several years earlier.

It’s amusing the number of fools who blame Tim Tebow for the disaster that is the NY Jets. He’s had exactly 8 passing attempts all year while Sanchez has had 418, so don’t blame Tebow. Sanchez is the problem, and since cutting him would count for over $17 million against the cap in 2013, he’ll continue to be the problem next year.

I’m not blaming Tebow’s play. I’m blaming the team for bringing in a quarterback they knew fans would rally around and clamor for (it had happened the year before in Denver) if they weren’t going to use him. To be honest, Tebow looks like a victim in this too. They brought him in, if you remember, to “push Sanchez,” yet no matter how badly he struggles they don’t make a change. So every single week the quarterbacks are thrust under the same microscope. It’s an environment built for failure.

A couple?? hahahaha! Apparently he can’t count either!

Sanchez was not ready for the NFL, he needed more time to mature and an extra season may have helped him. His time with the New York Jets has been a roller-coaster ride but with a lot more downs than ups as of late.

The blame shouldn’t be placed solely on Sanchez, though he definitely is a major blemish. His decision making is poor and at times seems to just not be completely there.

His talent that surrounds him is average at best. His offensive line is shaky, his running backs are at the bottom and his receiving core is absent. Santonio Holmes is a number two option, Dustin Keller has been injured most of the season, and his other options are practice squad guys.

Rex Ryan and Mike Tannebaum deserve a lot of the blame, they have not been putting the pieces in place to win. The team is only getting older, they need major reconstruction and I have a feeling Sanchez and Ryan are going to be gone for good.

If I were the Jets brass, I’d think of displaying Tim Tebow for the remaining games. He either bombs or does well. If he bombs, so be it, you remove a possible option at quarterback. If he thrives, you can either keep him and let him challenge for the spot or do a sign and trade.

He was out there looking for their coach to shake hands with ect. I think you just head to the locker room after a game like that. The emotion just isn’t there in him.

Good news: The Sanchez “era” is over.

Bad news: Rex will not start McElroy because he would lose his job should McElroy succeed, proving Sanchez should have been benched weeks ago.

Good news: Tebow will start the next two games, perform nearly as pathetically as Sanchez, reducing the noise from the delusional Tebow-ites.

This is what we get to look forward to as Jets fans the next few weeks. Great product fellas.

As a Jets fan am I disappointed? Of course. But to say this is all on Sanchez is beyond ridiculous. The Jets offense as a whole is terrible. Put the blame where it should be, on those that make the decisions. There should be house cleaning coming and quarterback, in my opinion, should not be at the top of the list.

It’s obvious that Rex and company has no interest in Tebow and that trade is looking more and more like it was 100% Woody Johnson. So even if Tebow is there next year, there’s no way that Rex is going to give him a shot as a starting QB. So don’t go to Tebow these last two games, go to McElroy and see what he has and see if Rex likes him enough to keep him around as a backup next year.

All three need to be fired and today would not be too soon. Then again the owner is an idiot as well so firing all those guys would be impossible because he would have no idea how to move forward.
