People who not only believe these random and confusing ideas, but actually take the time to write them …. I find them frightening. I hope they don’t live in my town.

Saw your comment late but still wanted to give you a response. Considering there was no investigation and the evidence was destroyed at the scene of the crime the only proof is ideas that are what I don’t consider “random and confusing” at all. Bryan O’Leary wrote a quality book breaking this down. I would guess there are a lot of people in your town who question what the establishment tells them and does their own research. Some people are frightened by what they don’t understand, kind of like a dog and a vacuum cleaner. But Goddell would never lie to you….right?

Man who would have thought that a single field goal changes the fact that they were up gobs of points and went up further with their second and third stringers in.

And fact of the matter is that yes, it was two terrible teams, but the seahawks did something that hasnt been done in over 60 years and thats absolutely demolish 2 teams consecutively. Does that mean they are gonna win the super bowl. No, but it doesnt change the fact that scoring over 100 points in a 2 game span is damn impressive.

MEANING: Come playoff time, what happened in those games will mean nothing in those games. They won’t get extra credit because they were hot offensively for two games a month earlier.

That being said, nothing should be taken away from the outstanding performance and effort.

If it’s so easy to score 50+ on two consecutive bad teams in the NFL, then why didn’t it happen in over 70 years?

Because nobody tries for this “record”. If this was an important achievement for teams, then you wouldn’t see teams kneeling on the 5 yard line or running the ball to drain the clock. If teams actually went into the season with the goal of getting back to back 50 point games it would have happened several times since then.

When you hear hate, you know good things are happening. To be honest, I didn’t expect any of that this season. Didn’t think we were that good until the last 5-6 weeks, when our team has basically just taken off and Russell has really developed into a special player. But still wasn’t expecting the love (from the national media) and the hate (from other fans).

But what I love most of all about this Hawks team is something I have NEVER seen in Seattle. That kid Russell Wilson has this team really believing in itself. In interviews with the players, you can see they are all legitimately excited to be playing on this team. They believe in each other and they especially believe in this young QB. Even in 2005, we didn’t have this energy. That’s why the 2005 squad lost XL. It wasn’t the bad calls. It was how they couldn’t recover from those bad calls.

Russell Wilson may not win a SuperBowl this season, but he will win one. This team is young, mean, and hungry as hell, and led by a kid who epitomizes “scrappy winner” unlike any QB I’ve seen since John Elway back in the mid-80′s. This team doesn’t care what anyone thinks or does. We’re going to beat you up and take that win no matter what. And we definitely aren’t going to apologize or lay down like everyone seems to want us to do this season. And I just love that. I honestly love that multiple times this season there has been a firestorm of pundits and fans crying and screaming about our coach celebrating too much, our players playing too hard, our team putting up too many points. I LOVE IT.

But what they achieved in the past two games still remains remarkable.

Biggest challenge for SF is Kaep using a silent count, which he used 50+ times in New Orleans.

Marshawn Lynch – Beat of the Year. He should be the MVP.

Pete Carroll – Coach of the Year.

This is a team that also beat New England, Green Bay, Chicago and Minnesota, and beat Dallas 27-7 and made them quit.

Just like all the fans that come to the Clink running their mouth… only to leave sorry and disappointed in the end… so it shall be for the 49ers on Sunday.

And pray your team is never scheduled to play here.

You Seahawks fans are in for a rude awakening Sunday night

A rude awaking like losing by one score at Candlestick? Seahawks with 12th man behind them are a totally different beast. Plus the training wheels have been off Wilson for some time and the offense is opened up. The 49ers are tough but they rank identical in defensive points per game allowed and offensive points per game. Should be a good game but I see Wilson beating Big Bird at Century Link. Go Hawks!

Sunday night will be a real test for both teams. Nobody is going to drop 50 points on the Niners. The Patriots had to put together one of their most potent comebacks against a soft zone to lay 31 on them, and they still lost the game. Both teams are physical. Both teams are good. Both teams need to win. This will be a great game. I’m tired of all this chirping.
