The biggest ‘if’ to the Bears making the playoffs is winning their last two games…’If’ they somehow manage that, there are enough different scenarios that would get them in, even one where (supposedly) they make it at 9-7 if Dallas also finishes with the same mark.

Better they don’t get in, and Lovie gets canned.

Lovie is the one they should put on “IR” since the Packers game was no big deal. Beating the Cards and Lions sounds like Mt. Everest right now, let alone any play-off caliber team.

So that’s why Bush did not play in short yardage situations (like first and goal from the 1 — when the Bears could not score) on Sunday against the Packers.
